TEXT COLOURS · A NUMBER YOU CAN CHECK

Two colours.
Clearer contrast.

Check an opaque sRGB text and background pair. See its ratio beside normal- and large-text thresholds, then preview the colours at a few useful sizes.

Choose the pair

Use #123 or #112233, with or without #. No alpha/transparency, colour names, gradients or wide-gamut inputs. Visual colour pickers update the matching HEX field.

The ratio stays the same at every size. The relevant text-size threshold changes. Check the actual rendered font and context before applying a large-text category.

A SMALL CHECK, WITH A VISIBLE METHOD

Start with HEX.

Three-digit shorthand expands to six digits. Both colours are treated as fully opaque, 8-bit sRGB.

Keep the precision.

The display rounds the ratio, while the threshold decisions use its underlying computed value.

Check the context.

A preview helps compare a pair. A real page still needs its actual type, backgrounds and states checked.
